YouCast service is provided without charging you any service fee. But your service provider might charge you fee. Here is the detail:

After you download & install YouCast, you need register your account by clicking the register button. The registration is verified by SMS since your phone number need be verified in case someone sends you file to your phone number. You might be charged for this SMS from your service provider. When you send/receive files by email address, YouCast does not use SMS or MMS afterwards.

If the recipient is a phone number (such as, you send files to a phone number or someone sends you files to your phone number), a SMS is sent/received from/to your Blackberry (Your carrier might charge you the fee.)

The real file transfer is via data plan or WiFi. Therefore, if you have WiFi in Blackberry, you do not need data plan either after YouCast is registered. If you send or receive a lot of files, please make sure you use WiFi or proper data plan. Your service provider might charge you additional fee if it exceeds your subscribed data plan.
